What is AADC

The United Kingdom’s Age-Appropriate Design Code (AADC) contains 15 standards that online services need to follow. This ensures they are complying with the obligations under data protection law to protect children’s data online. AADC is also known as the Children’s Code.

  • Connected toys and devices
  • News services

When Enforcement Takes Effect

• September 2, 2020, giving businesses a year’s grace period to come into compliance.
